I. REUNION DETAILS:

WHO IS INVITED:

1.
All descendants of William McLeod Wesberry and Lillian Iona Galloway Wesberry along with their Families

2. Everyone Related to William McLeod Wesberry and Lillian Iona Galloway Wesberry by marriage

WHAT:

A Family Reunion For Our Large Extended Family

WHEN:

September 24 - 27, 2009 (Three nights and four days)

WHERE:

Stone Mountain Park, Atlanta, Georgia.

WHY:

1. Because we have grown into a very large extended family, with many individual family units which have spread out from our ancestral South Carolina home to various states and cities all across North and South America. This has made it difficult for each of us to keep in touch, much less visit with each other, aside from the occasional wedding or a funeral. Its time we reconnect, in person, face to face instead of by e-mail!

2. With the recession (some say "depression") looming and with many of our relatives growing older, this may be the last chance many of us get to visit with each other for a long time, if ever again! Don't miss this once in a lifetime event and regret it for the rest of your life!

3. We have a couple of special events coming up including a 50th wedding anniversary to celebrate.

Therefore several of us have decided that we need to have that long awaited and much talked about Family Reunion THIS YEAR!

LOCATION:

We are hosting this event at a vacation destination which is equally famous for families, couples, golfers, outdoors enthusiasts and business executives. Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta, Georgia offers something for everyone.

Stone Mountain Park charges a $10 vehicle fee to enter the park. If you are staying at one of teh hotels in the park you still have to pay the vehicle fee one time, but may come and go as much as you like free of charge as many days as you stay at the hotel.

II. EVENT ITENERARY:

We have three MAIN activities planned for this reunion and numerous additional activities, so feel free to take part in as many or as few as you like. We would like for EVERYONE to at least attend the Family Reunion PICNIC LUNCH on Friday, September 25th. There will also be plenty of time in-between the planned activities for families, couples and individuals to visit with each other, relax, enjoy a massage in the spa, swim in the pool, play a round of golf, climb Stone Mountain (or ride up in the Sky Tram), ride the WWII Amphibious Ducks, bicycle (or ride the train) around Stone Mountain, or visit the shops and many interactive children's attractions at Stone Mountain Park.

The Main Activities are on Friday, September 25th:

1. Family Reunion Picnic 11:30 am (We are asking that EVERYONE at least attend this event!)

2. Family Reunion Dinner 6:00 pm

And we have a special event to celebrate on Saturday, September 26th:

3. Juarez and Lillian Wesberry Johnson's 50th Wedding Anniversary Lunch Party 12:00 Noon (This will be a surprise party, so please don't tell them that you know it is their anniversary! And just in case you are wondering, I have taken their e-mail address off of this mailing list so that they wont read e-mails concerning this part of the event. So feel free to reply back about it on this list.)

SEPTEMBER 24th (Thursday):

Anyone who wants can have informal get together as they arrive.

III. LODGING:

These first three lodging choices are all inside of Stone Mountain Park making them convenient to participation in all of our Reunion Activities.

1. EVERGREEN MARRIOTT CONFERENCE AND SPA RESORT

This Hotel is the Main Location and base of our Family Reunion Activities and so for convenience most of us will be staying there. The two Johnson families have already reserved a room there and took advantage of the hotel's "Three Nights Staycation Package Deal" which was only 169.00
($301.24 after tax) for the FULL three night stay! This deal also includes admission for four to all of Stone Mountains many attractions. To get this deal go visit this website, but hurry they only have a limited number available:

http://www.marriott.com/hotels/hotel-deals/atleg-evergreen-marriott-conference-resort/

Jimmy and Lea Wesberry has informed me that they will also be staying in this hotel.

Evergreen Marriott Conference And Spa Resort
4021 Lakeview Drive
Stone Mountain, Georgia 30083 USA
1-888-670-2250

The Evergreen Marriott Conference and Spa Resort is a four diamond resort hotel located inside Stone Mountain Park. We will be having a Family Reunion Breakfast and a Family Reunion Dinner at this hotel and our other family reunion activities will take place close to it inside the park. This makes it the most convenient hotel for our families to stay in. Several of us have stayed here before and have found it to be top quality in every way. It has luxurious guest rooms that offer breathtaking views of the mountain and the lake, an elegant spa, two championship golf courses, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and hot tubs, an exercise room, conference facilities, two fine restaurants, a gift shop and a Starbucks coffee shop. The main restaurant serves the most complete and wonderful breakfast, lunch, and supper buffets daily, cooked by international chefs (French and other) and served by waiters from all over the world.

Lakeview Room Rate: $179 (One King Size Bed or 2 Double Beds)

Stay for Breakfast Rate: $179 (includes breakfast for 2 adults and children 12 and under)

Three Night Family Staycation Package Deal: $269 ($269 for a stay of 3 nights, includes 4 Two day Park passes) The Johnson families have already reserved their rooms using this deal and with tax it came out to $301 for the full three day stay. Since this is the same price as the Hampton Inn 2 miles outside of Stone Mountain we felt this was a pretty good deal. We encourage all of you who can afford it to take advantage of it before it gets booked up.

They also have Golf Package Rates and Spa Package Rates available.

For details visit

2. STONE MOUNTAIN INN

This is the other hotel located inside of Georgia's Stone Mountain Park. It is a little cheaper than the Evergreen (but not as cheap as the Three Night Staycation Package at the Evergreen). The historic Stone Mountain Inn is a carefully preserved replica of a nineteenth century plantation home and provides magnificent views of Stone Mountain. Only a short walk from the mountain, shops, and the Laser Light Show.
